It’s
the week of the Governor’s election in
Atlanta, Georgia. Southern belle ANNETTE makes
love with an Italian, steals his wallet, and
takes off for the hotel lobby. There she meets
dapper Englishman JON, and they share a drink.
At a nearby table, photographer ANDREW proposes
to CHRISTINA, who just happens to be the governor’s
daughter.
Afterwards, both couples
go back to separate rooms and make love. Jon
and Annette have a great time—but Christina
is incapable of having an orgasm. When Andrew
presses her about it, they fight. Christina
goes to sleep, and Andrew leaves the room. Out
in the lobby, Andrew meets Annette, and they
go to the bar together. Annette propositions
Andrew, but he is still thinking of Christina.
He refuses and leaves.
The next morning at a press
conference for Governor BUCKWALD, Andrew pulls
Christina aside and begs her to keep their engagement
out of the press—just as reporters ask
the governor about his alleged extramarital
affairs. In his evasive retort, Buckwald announces
that Andrew and Christina are getting married.
Andrew leaves angrily, leaving Christina in
distress. Jon rescues her and tells her about
his charity, a fund for underprivileged children.
Christina agrees to get her father to give a
$100,000 donation. While this is going on, Annette
meets Andrew and seduces him. Unbeknownst to
him, a secret camera is taking pictures of their
rendezvous…
At a dance that evening,
Christina dances with Jon—and ends up
having sex with him in a back room. After the
dance, Jon and Annette meet again—and
it turns out they are in love, and are waging
a contest to see who can steal or blackmail
$100,000! Annette goes to meet Andrew, and shows
him the incriminating photographs. She demands
he steal MRS. BUCKWALD’s $100,000 earrings,
or she will release the photos to the press.
At the same time, Governor Buckwald is having
his own illicit affair with a prostitute—which
is being photographed, as well…
The next day, Andrew and
Christina fight yet again. Christina leaves
the room, and Andrew sees her mother’s
earrings lying on the dresser, just waiting
to be stolen. Christina goes to her father to
talk about breaking off her marriage to Andrew,
but he forbids her—after all, he announced
their engagement on national television, and
his opponent would use the break-up to hurt
Buckwald’s campaign!
Christina gives the money
to Jon, and he slips away. Meanwhile, as Annette
is buying the photographs of Buckwald from the
prostitute, Andrew shows up and refuses to pay,
then storms off to find his fiancée.
An undercover policeman informs
Christina and Andrew that Jon and Annette are
really con artists! As the cop rushes off to
find the criminals, Christina and Andrew tearfully
make up, make love, and achieve orgasm together.
The con artists escape
to an airport. Jon gloats that he has won the
contest, but Annette upstages him. She shows
him a suitcase with $101,000 inside as the news
plays over the television that Gov. Buckwald
has withdrawn from the election. It seems his
opponent bought some scandalous photographs
of Buckwald and a prostitute…
